Water Is Life

Water covers three-forth of the surface of the earth. Yet only 1% of it is usable. Approximately 97% of the water is salty sea water and 2% of it is frozen in the form of glaciers and ice caps. This makes that 1% a precious commodity that is necessary for our survival. A man dies faster without water than without food. Thus it is duty of every individual to save water and prevent its wastage. Running taps, flowing tanks etc, should be avoided. Save water for next generation.

What We Do Effects Them

Earth is the only planet that supports life at the moment. The beauty of this planet is enhanced by forests, oceans, deserts, mountains, lakes, ponds, tropical rainforests etc. But humans are destroying the delicacy and slenderness of these beautiful elements. We are cutting down the forests, building cities on every dry piece of land, spilling oils in the oceans etc. In this way we are also destroying the habitant of many of the tiny creatures that have found shelter in such places.

THINK....!

Maldives Is Drowning

Maldives is one meter or less above the sea level, which makes it the lowest country of the world. Rising sea level and green house emission can displace the land. But Maldives isn't the first one to be displaced from its place. Many of the residents of Bangladesh's Bhola Island lost their homes due to rising sea level. In 2005, the 1600 residents of Papua New Guinea Carteret Island began to evacuate because of the same reason. Muhammad Nasheed, president of Maldives, is taking necessary steps to tackle this situation. he is looking for the land in India or Srilanka as the customs and traditions of the nations are quite similar. He is also considering Australia which have some spare land.
